90% of the time, they spend all weekend asking to play screens. But sometimes they get crafty and creative instead. Today, I want to celebrate that they decided to make art (as opposed to me suggesting it to steer them away from electronics). And I want to keep reminding myself that I’m celebrating it, as I clean up a million scraps of paper from the floor, the trail of clay across the dining room table, and colored pencils all throughout the living room. Creativity is a lot messier than screen time, that’s for sure. (in all seriousness, I love their creative brains- I love listening to them talk to each other about what they are making, and the sweet ways they encourage each other when they show off their finished art projects)
Here’s the rest of the week- full stories are on instagram.
