I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family over the summer in my favorite Bel Air, MD park. They wanted to celebrate the love for their beautiful son, along with their other passion- the military.
I think military families are so awe-inspiring. I can’t imagine how it must feel to know you can be deployed away from a small child. But at the same time, it’s families like these that work to make our country safe and free. We all owe so much to our hardworking members of the military.
The bond this handsome little guy shares with his parents is nothing short of beautiful. He melts into their arms, taking turns with being a mama’s boy or a daddy’s boy. He deeply loves them both and wants to be held, snuggled, loved, so much more than to explore and play. He knows where he feels the most secure, and that’s in the arms of those he loves.
Most of the families I work with spend a lot of time thinking about outfits. Getting that “coordinating, not matching” look can be tricky (and is why I offer my Signature clients complimentary wardrobe consults from a professional stylist). This family, however, opted to not worry about it at all and I absolutely love the results.
Celebrating their love of the military, their passions for their careers, meant wearing their uniforms. And of course, handsome little man is decked out in his own camo, but in blue so he won’t completely blend in. He’s still the spotlight, as he should be.
Does this family look familiar to you? They should. You last saw them in the spring, with their beautiful (more traditional) portrait here.
I absolutely love this- look at how he loves to mimic his Daddy! You can really see how small he is, and imagine how much he will grow over the years.
This little boy is going to grow up wrapped in such love and care, and he’s going to learn the beauty of independence, as well. With Mom and Dad being deployed from time to time, he’s going to learn at a young age the most beautiful life lesson of all: that he is so deeply loved no matter where Mom and Dad may be. It’s a blanket that will follow him from place to place, keeping him warm and secure all the time. What a gift!
