I’m on a mission to normalize motherhood, pushing back against the fake perfection of social media by posting a dose of reality, tagged with #momreality. I primarily use instagram, but this can go across any and all social media platforms! I’m always looking #momreality on instagram and each month I post my favorite moments to encourage all mothers to embrace her reality, not live under the guise of a false perfection.
It’s not about hating on pinterest, or complaining. It’s just about being real– through the good, the bad, and the hilarious.
And my favorite from my personal feed this month…
We keep a little training potty in the car for my littlest one who often doesn’t know she has to go until it’s an emergency. As we are leaving taekwondo she announces she has to pee. Fine, good, get on your potty in the trunk. Except halfway through she announces proudly that she is also pooping. We are in a small parking lot for 3 stores and there are no trash cans here. Wtf am I supposed to do with this 💩? 😳😵😖 also we are trapped in the van while she does her business because it’s a million degrees outside and the smell… oh the smell… #momreality #sendhelp #momlife #motherhood #pottytraining
