Bra shopping. No one likes it, but a good fitting bra is so important to maintain a flattering look. (which is especially important if you are shopping for your next family portrait- don’t you want to look your best for a photo you will be hanging on your wall and looking at daily?)
As my dear friend Wendy has taught me, a properly fitting bra is just as important as a properly fitting shirt. Both work together to create a flattering silhouette, and it only takes one of them to throw off your whole look.
Did you know there are more options than Victoria’s Secret for a decent bra? (I define decent as a bra that is more than what you’d find in the Target lingerie section, that will last longer than a few months of regular wear)
I swear by the bra fitters at Nordstrom. I learned from there that most women are not wearing the correct size. Bands sizes frequently go smaller than 34, cup sizes go larger than DD, unlike what Victoria’s Secret tells us about sizing based on their stock.
Enter ThirdLove. As I scrolled through their website, I realized they have what is missing. The bras aren’t just function- they are pretty, too. The lace on the racer backs is exactly what people love about bralettes, but with actual support.
I’m excited to check them out. Plus any kind of shopping where I don’t have to leave my house is a win in my book.
Also of note, they have a great online “fit finder” where you can answer a few questions to find out if you are properly sized. They even offer half cup sizes because expecting everyone to fall neatly into a category of cup size isn’t realistic.
